Community Service
Announcement of Community Service Project. A great way to volunteer and give back!
Every night in America, too many children go to sleep uncertain of what tomorrow will bring, compromising their health, school performance, and emotional well-being. At Pajama Program, we promote and support a comforting bedtime routine to help all children thrive by providing inspiring storybooks, cozy pajamas, and critical resources for caregivers. After all, Good Nights Are Good Days.
In Atlanta PPRA (located in Glenwood) provides hundreds of cozy pajamas and inspiring storybooks to children throughout Metropolitan Atlanta. Children come from the local Community Partners, including under resourced schools, shelters and foster care agencies. Through the Reading “Party” and Reading Buddy Plus programs, our goal is to create “good nights for good days” for all the children. Some may have never worn a pair of pajamas or have the experience to snuggle up with a good book. NACE would be a Community Partner and strive to add to the needs of the program and children.
What is NACE Atlanta's Chapter Goal?
- To raise $5,000 throughout the year.
- Volunteer to Share Stories with Children. Members can volunteer as a group or individually.
- Sponsor a Reading Party (monetary commitment that provides pajamas, books, snacks, and transportation for one class to attend a Reading Party)
